We don’t want to discourage anyone from entering with too many rules but we do have some. To take part in the competition, you must adhere to the following conditions:

- Entries should be between 60 seconds and three minutes in length.
- If you submit your film in your own language, please provide a transcript in English to accompany it if possible
- Please incorporate the See Britain through My Eyes strapline at some point during your film.
- Films which contain any obscene, unlawful or objectionable material will be immediately disqualified.
- You must create your film using a mobile phone camera, digital camera that has a video recording function or video camera
- Your video must be saved in one of the following accepted formats: .avi, .wmv
- File size must not exceed 100MB.
- Entries must be uploaded to the Britain Through My Eyes website.
- You can enter as many times as you like provided each film submitted is an original piece of work.
- The deadline for submitting your films is 5pm GMT on Friday 12th March 2010.
- Entries received after this date will not be considered.
- Only shortlisted film candidates will be contacted.
- Shortlisting will take place in March 2010. If you do not hear from us by the end of March 2010, we regret that your entry would have been unsuccessful.
- The masterclass and production of winning films will take place in the UK in March 2010. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office will cover the costs of travel and accommodation for any winning entrants living in the UK..
